Herman J. Johnson is a native New Yorker, and a graduate of The University of Jamestown located in Jamestown, North Dakota, where he received a BA in Psychology / Sociology, and minored in Philosophy/Religion.
Herman is a Two-Time "All American" in Track and Field and an inductee into the College Athletic Hall of Fame in both personal and team categories.
He is affiliated with and certified by: USA Track & Field, N.E.S.T.A. (National Endurance and Sports Training Association) and ABH (American Board of Hypnosis). He is a practitioner of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Myoskeletal Alignment (MYO). Freedom From Pain Institute.
Herman has been involved in the wide world of sports since he was a child, and has spent his entire career training professional and recreational athletes in strength and conditioning and sport specific techniques.
He has successfully trained athletes for almost every sport imaginable, and has devised training programs for professional soccer players, water and snow skier, Ultra-Marathoner and college track, volleyball, basketball, swim, and football teams.
He also wrote the nutrition section of the Portland State Football summer training manual. Herman has been in the Fitness Consulting business for over 35 years, and taught Strength & Conditioning, Total Body Conditioning, and Jogging courses at Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho & Clark Community College in Washington., as well as Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon.
He has also been a director of Fitness and Aerobics at Cascade Park Fitness Center in Vancouver Washington.
Herman offers a wide range of services which include MYO, EFT, Hypnosis and Relaxation, Focusing,Personal Training, and Sports Specific Training.

Seasonally Herman also coaches Track & Field in the Northwest at Hudson's Bay High School, Concordia University and Clark College in addition to his work with CerebralSports Herman's philosophy in coaching is based on mind and body strength and conditioning first, then attention is moved to technique and form.
Athletes must be in prime physical and mental condition in order to accomplish success in any endeavor.

Herman believes and promotes that athletes need to fuel their "machines" through nutritional balance, and does not promote nor encourage protein supplements, or any other "muscle building", or "fat burning" fads.
